Is it Monday night yet?

Eagles minicamp has been abuzz. Unfortunately, not all good news. Due to his battle with a cancerous tumor on his spine, Eagles’ defensive coordinator/guru Jim Johnson has taken a leave of absence. In the interim, secondary coach Sean McDermott will man the line.

The beginning of the week also brought two new faces to the green roster. After participating as unsigned free agents in minicamp, quarterback Adam DiMichele and defensive tackle Jervonte Jackson were offered chances to don Eagle green.

DiMichele was a standout on the Temple Owls football team (not that that is particularly hard to do), but more impressively was a trisport athelte, which also saw him drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2005.

Jackson, the brother of center Jamaal Jackson, hails from Florida Atlantic University and, well, has his work cut out for him fighting for a spot on the line.
