Over the next two weeks, we will be adding coverage of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Gymnastics to the blog, being that it’s a major event that will help determine the 2008 U.S. Gymnastics team. There will be daily postings of athlete interviews as well as highlights on all the action as it unfolds at the Wachovia Center June 19-22.
The facility has previously played host to some major sporting events such as the 2001 NBA Finals, 2002 NBA All-Star Game as well as the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals.
For those looking to get a sneak peak at some of the future Olympians, here is the event schedule:
June 19 Men’s first day of competition, 7 p.m.
June 20 Women’s first day of competition, 7 p.m.
June 21 Men’s second day of competition, 3 p.m.
