The Arena Football League’s regular season comes to a close this weekend as the Philadelphia Soul hit the road for a Sunday afternoon contest at the New York Dragons. Fans are invited to come along for the ride, as eight fan buses will be leaving the Wachovia Center at 9:30 a.m. on June 22. Tickets will be available until Tuesday (June 17) at 8 p.m. Visit http://www.philadelphiasoul.com or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fans will enjoy a catered tailgate and live broadcast from Q107’s First Hit with Krausey and Ozzy before the contest. During the ride up, fans will watch a replay of the Soul’s victory over the Dragons from earlier this season.
The Soul clinch the AFL’s Eastern Division title with a win Sunday or a Dallas loss against Chicago. A win would also give Philadelphia an opening week bye for the playoffs as well as home-field advantage on the road to Arena Bowl XXII.
Record books for Jackson
Philadelphia Soul wide receiver “Chris “Money” Jackson became just the third player in Arena Bowl history to score 2,000 career points, joining Barry Wagner and Eddie Brown. His 48 touchdowns for the season are also a new career high.
