Philadelphia Soul quarterback Matt D’Orazio was selected the AFL Champs Quarterback of the Year as voted by the AFL head coaches, fans, players and Arena Football League Writer’s Association. The veteran passer was also named the AFL Writer’s Association Player of the Year and First Team All-Arena for the first time in his career.
This season, D’Orazio led the league with a 131.3 passer rating and 72.4 completion percentage. He ended the year with 3,331 passing yards for 72 touchdowns against just four interceptions.
In other Soul news, the team traveled to Madison Square Garden Tuesday night for team owner Jon Bon Jovi’s concert where the players presented him with the National Conference Trophy. This is the singer’s last stop on the Lost Highway Tour.
