The Eagles had a busy weekend, cutting a few notables to get to their 53-man roster. The most anticipated movement revolved around the placement of Vick on the special “exemption” list, which allowed them to keep him and not count it against their maximum capacity.
This move, it’s been speculated, was the reason for A.J. Feeley’s presence on the roster, instead of being released. As the clock ticked and no trade seemed to transpire, Feeley was relaased to make room for former Redskins’ defensive tackle Antonio Dixon.
Though Vick cannot practice with the team during his two-game suspension, he will likely make a return to the roster by game 3.
