Afraid to take your kids to games in Philadelphia? The laundry list of offenses is enough to deter any parent. Add to it the vomit and the Taser incidents from this year’s Phillies season and it seems no one is safe.
With the inaugural event in 2009, the Eagles are continuing the trend with a family friendly day at the Linc to kickoff the 2010 season. The Thursday, Aug. 5, “Flight Night” event, one-week in advance of the preseason homeopener, is a chance for young Eagles fans to get a taste of the ballpark, SWOOP, the cheerleaders (?) and giveaways all to benefit the Eagles Youth Partnership.
Fans raised over a million dollars last year, with tickets running $10 for kids and $20 for adults.
Hopefully the promise of thousands of sugar-fueled kids is enough to deter rowdy diehards.
