The Golden lining

Though their mitts came up short in the end, Rollins and Victorino snagged Gold Glove honors for their play this season.

The nods mark the third consecutive for Rollins, while it is the second in a row for the Flyin’ Hawaiian.

With just six errors this season (fewest among qualifying infielders), Rollins’ .983 career fielding percentage is second in MLB history, trailing only Omar Vizquel, who put up a .985.

Victorino, with the strong arm in the outfield, managed to catch a Rawlings Gold Glove honor by netting a .997 fielding percentage and committing just one error.
